Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC
People keep telling me that a Si/HF harness cant be used with a DX/Std chassis, but no one has told me why.
WHY?? Im sure some wires will have to be extended for certain sensors, but why can't a SI harness be used, versus hacking up a DX/Std harness for OBD-0 MPFI motors? |

You need the whole chassis harness from a SI.I have one if you need it but it is a pain in the ass to swap out.

Re: Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC
rule of thumb is to NEVER change the harness, always modify your current one to work.

Re: Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC
Oh ok. Just curious. Thanks.
DOHC ZC or D16A1 harness=same deal as Si? I'm assuming yes, but I might as well ask while I'm typing. |
Re: Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC
you have to hack your stock harness on OBD0 engine swaps...
you cant even swap HF and Si harness... |
Re: Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC

Re: Si Harness for STD with DOHC ZC
MPFI's been setup a while ago, its just I keep getting wierd ass problems, and sometimes the car will start, sometimes it wont. I know its something electrical. I do have a question for you. For my CYL sensor, I used 18 gauge wire (soldered connections) to wire it to the orange/white wires for DPFI CAS. That was the smallest gauge wire I could buy, but it was still larger than stock. I keep getting a code 9 for unknown reasons. and it wont start cause of that
I had the last wire at the even row of "B" fray. Then I got codes 1,4,15,16,and 20-no 9. But the car ran. When I fixed it, everything went away, but Code 9 came back? WTF??? |
