recent swap runs but idles out of control
whats up everyone heres the problem i recently swaped a dohc zc into my 90 si crx and it starts but the idle is from where it should be up to like 1200 0r 1500 rpms i checked all the sensors even switched them with different ones same deal no ecu cels either, there is also one other problem some times it just revs out of control till around 4000 to 6000 rpms and stays there ,its not the throotle cable I tried it with the cable off samething so is it possible to be a vacum leak? the intake manifold gaskets new but the throttle body isnt,I notice that with the intake pipe off i stick my hand over the throttle body the motor still keeps running shouldnt it die out from lack of air ?I'm really tired of messing with this problem i want to boost this damn thing already . well thanks for any help

Re:recent swap runs but idles out of control
in general on all hondas where does the iacv let air into the manifold at? if it's at the tb then your little hand of the tb trick would tell us you have a ginormous vacuum leak, but if it lets air in after the tb then when you put your hand on the tb it's just the iacv letting air in.

Re:recent swap runs but idles out of control
the IACV and FITV get their air source from inside the TB BEFORE the throttle plate. those two holes are air inlets for those items.
if u cover those holes it should die, or atleast change. if not you have a HUGE vac leak somewhere. check the brake booster lines especially.
