runs smooth replaced TPS now it idles at 3500 RPM? it like a bad vacuum leak but where should I start it loks good to me everywhere? maybe timing?

 

incorrectly installed TPS...

 

I got a whole new Tbody the TPS aint not installed properly...

I got a code 4 once now its gone, still idling hella high like 4K what I need is a vaccum dagram for like a b18 integra or a CRX or btoh anyone got one?

 

its hard to explain how you do it... there is a "| |" in the TB, and a "U" on TPS the U needs to go into the || "|U|" if it doesnt the TPS is holding the throttle open at 2-3K. you need to put the TPS in about 20deg in the wrong spot and turn it to the right spot...you understanding all this??

 

code 4 is something with the distributor...you still have a code 7?

 

I have no codes at all, I watch the Tbody and it isnt holding it open as I dont even have a filter on it now,.,,

I traded my friend for his B16 tbody with a TPS already installed on it form factory for mine without one. So I know its right, Now it just idles at 4K cause there is madd vacuum problems im heading to go get a new map sensor from the wrecker cause the fitting on mine broke off.

I also dont have reverse and I think 1st gear is like 3rd haha cause it took it around the block...

vacuum diagrams would be pimped but i saearched all night.... Ill check on the cars they have out there. THX gusy for help

 

yeah I had the same problem with vacum after I swaped heads on my B18 just plug and play with them till you get it thats what I did if you don't want to do that I can take pics of my engine tomorrow and send them to you was the engine out of an auto?

 

ok heres the update. I got a B16 manifold i just put on the exhaust so I can get it welded cheaper then making a downpipe for my b18 manifold. So once I get the probs sorted ill get that done.

I welded up my shift linkage tongiht and it feels great, im very happy with it.

The idle I got down to idling at 2000 rpm so liike cold start up for lie 20 sec then it went up a hair but i had to shut off cause it was getting later at night and its open manifold and my neibours would ****... But I think I might have fixed it a bit more noiw cause it seems so much better.

Also I have a CRV valve cover and it has 2 vaccum fittingfs on it one for the breather and another one in the middle its a one way valave like the crankcase vent for vacuuum only but i only have one nipple so should I run the crankcase vent or the valve cover one or get a T?

what was wrong?? if it still idles higher after warm up check the fast idle valve. There are two holes before the throttle plate. cover the bottom one with your finger. If the idle goes to proper location then your fast idle valve is stuck open. Also, cheeck for vacuum leaks around the TB to intake mani gasket.

umm vacuum leak in choke assembyl idles good now has NO low end power at all. Its my timing thats off and i got the sdistro cranked all the way so i thinkk im a tooth off on the belt or something ill do that later...

3" exhaust on a NA motor wont help but it still hsouldnt make the car bog etc..
