Problems after MPFI swap.... Help.....Update #2 car runs good, but...
90 CRX Auto
SOHC ZC, MPFI IM, ZC distributor, and PG7 ECU
I have done this swap a few times before. This time, I finished all the wiring, no CELs but the car will not start. I have no spark on the distributor.
I have checked, the cap, rotor, wires, and coil. Everything seems to be working. I also double checked my wiring, and I have power coming to the distributor plug, but nothing coming out.
What else could it be? Just a bad distributor?
The guy I'm doing this for said he was going to buy another one, but I don't want him to spend the money if it could be something else.
any other ideas.
Thanks
Also, quick can I use a PM6 5spd ECU on the auto car, just to see if it would crank and it is not the ECU, not to drive it. I have one spare PM6 that I could try, just to rule that out.

Re:Problems after MPFI swap.... Help.....
Make sure when you repinned the wires on the Distributor plug you didnt cross the 2 white wires.
There are 2 white wires on the distributor plug that look identicle, one is just a tad bit thicker. Just try swapping the 2 wires around. Because if they are swapped the car will crank with no spark, and no codes.
Other than that, it could be an ignitor or a coil.. I'm pretty certain you can swap those 2 componets out of the dx distributor to see if it will work.

Re:Problems after MPFI swap.... Help.....Update car runs like ----...
Ok, so the problem was that the guy I'm doing this for started ------- around with the plug wires and switched them around. So I checked the timing opened the distributor up and sure enough it was pointing in the right place, but the wires were in the wrong place.
Anyways, the car fires and runs, but it won't rev pass around 3k. like it's hitting the rev limiter. The ecu he got looks like ----, it was all rusted outside and some of it got to the circuit board. I had the same problem once in my hatch and after I switched the Chip on the ecu it fixed the problem.
Now I'm getting a code 4, CKP Sensor (Crankshaft Position Sensor) and a code 14, IAC Valve (Idle Air Control)\
any ideas

your in limp mode that happened to me when i did my swap. gotta make sure the to wires you added to the ecu to the dizzy are right. i believe they are blue green and blue yellow, blue yellow goes c2 and blue green goes to c1. make sure thats right and the two wires your cut at c1 and c2 must be repinned, c1->b10 c2->b12

I think they're for the crank angle sensor (correct me if i'm wrong here...been a while since i've had that pop up). Had the "rev-limiter" problem on mine at first, but i swapped the two wires around and it worked fine on my pm6. Funny thing was on my pg7, it worked fine even with those 2 wires reversed, no limiter, no code.
