Default put EF tranny in first without shift linkage to test model

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/1508680

in this FAQ it shows how to tell what model the tranny is but how do you put the tranny in first without the shift linkage? I'm guessing pushing it all the way forward?

Just imagine how the shift linkage turns the shift selecter thing. Pull it out and turn it counter-clockwise (if looking at the tranny from the back of the car).

if you are at the back of the tranny turn the yoke counterclockwise and pull. that will be 1st gear

so I can bench shift the tranny, aka test it.

I build trannys, I don't install them for customers.
