Default powerband

i was reading that a d15b2 has a max hp of 90 hp from the factory as a dpfi engine. i swapped mine to mpfi. what gains am i looking at in horsepower? im on a pm6 ecu of course. i might as well boost this engine. should be able to get 200 easy out of it being freshly restored with -500 miles on it. what figures am i actually looking at NA wise with a mpfi swap?

should throw you over 100. The d16a6 motor imo was underrated hp wise from the factory atleast thats what dyno's have shown me.

Boost it'll be like every other turbo d15 mid 13 sec car aka fun little street car

sounds good. i think i will turbo this motor first as i continue to build my d16y7, though that may take a little longer than expected now thanks to some ------- how back stabbed me on a deal we made. i will be NA over the winter here in my area. no way would i ever attempt boost with the snow we get :1 so im gonna find a header and put on my new exhaust i just bought for it today, thrust muffler and glasspack. hopefully i can get about 120 out of her NA.

Your really not going to make any more power out of it unless you buy a real header. China ebay headers=shiny piles of junk. They dont make a d series unit that works. DC at the least will actually do the job. 120 is a hefty goal and unless you switch to port work, bored tb,cam etc your motor isnt going to make much more than it already is.

thats the way i see it. but if a cheap ebay header wont make a difference then i might as well stay stock and just boost later down the road. the only thing is finding a ------- motor so i can get my kit back DAMN BACKSTABBERS CAN SUCK ME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
