Hi, this is Blanco from HondaSwap and D-Series.org...for those that know me on those sites.
I hate to threadjack, but I'm having a similar problem and I don't want to start another topic about it. I bought a disassembled Z6 block and the large bore ends of my rods were enlarged slightly, before I bought them. I sized the bearings using the block/crank method because I was told the bores were still stock. I got brown for rods 1&4 and green for rods 2&3, these platigauged to .002". So I tried the brown on journals 2&3 and they platigauged to .0017"-.0018". I'd like to get a .0015" clearance, do I need to move up two bearing sizes instead of just one?
