you need to use OBD1 or it will suck *** to step down to OBD0

I think it depends on the distributor you are using. the obd 0 or the ob1. I would just throw a vtec head on it and keep it obd1.

ok there is some confusion... i am definatly keeping the car odb1, but which ecu do i use? p28? but then what will it do about the oil pressure thing... im not sure what all makes a difference, or if using this motor will work obd1, obviously it will because i have it running now with a dx ecu, but its very slow and sluggish, not much power to it at all, so which ecu should i use?

use the non-VTEC ecu and get it chipped. The p28 is a VTEC
ECU and will cause problems if not connected fully.

first of all, you fucked up by using an si head because you are gonna have fun getting your timing right with the distributor (doesn't line up like stock, and if it does, that don't mean timings right), which is probably why the car runs sluggish. secondly, make sure your ecu is a P06(DX) and not a P05(CX).

no, it should not be sluggish, just slow... get rid of that setup asap... the fact that someone was gay enough to put that combination together makes me think their may be more wrong.

well the car is snappy off the start, but by sluggish i mean slow, it would probably top off at 90 if i really tried...
