I recently swapped my d16y7 in my 00 civic dx with an engine and ecu from a 99 ex 4door. Same engine but the harness had 5 plugs through the firewall, 3 in one bundle and 2 in the other. My 00 only had three which only two plugged into the ecu. The new ecu shows ports for 4 plugs but only 3 will fit and these are the 3 that are bundled together. I pulled the engine from a wrecked car and so the SRS light is on in my new car. Everything works except for my fuel pump, spedometer and fans (cooling/ac) a ran a switch for the fans and hooked ACC power to my fuel pump. Well the car runs great now and drives fantastic. No spedometer though...ouch. I dont like all the bypassing necessary to drive this car but i had to get to work. Is it possible that the fuel pump is cutoff due to the acident the car was in? I have reset the ecu multiple times but it still doesnt work. everything plugged in in the engine bay but I still have one large grey plug through the firewall that is not plugged into anything. An identical plug is plugged into the ECU, if i switch the plugs the spark plugs dont even fire. Now the two plugs that look alike are in two different bundles of wire.....What is supposed to be plugged into the middle smaller port in the ecu...or is there a fuel pump cutoff that is somewhere else that needs to be reset...I really need some help..
