Nasty vibration... Help!
ok, 97 integra Ls. Basically it vibrates like a bastard abouve 45 mph under load. With the clutch in, or under cruise it's ok, but under a load you can really feel the vibrations in the floor. Basically i was driving the car around town, ran into a pizza joint, drove away, and it was fucked up. So how it came about is a mystery.
I rotated the tires in case it were a belt, but it still feels the same. Had it up on the lift today and the only thing i can notice is that the passenger side axle seems to have a lot of play in the transmission. So tomorrow i'm going to try to change out the axle and see if it makes a difference. Anybody have any ideas?

well i did a wheel bearing on the drivers side, but i don't think the wheel bearing could produce a vibration of this magnitude. The thing that gets me is i can't understand how the axle could be loose in the differential.

Re: Nasty vibration... Help!
I had a nasty vibration only under load in my 95 LS. Turned out to be the inner axle joint, though it felt fine when installed in the car. Same thing happened to a friend's 97 LS too. I think it's a case of poor quality inner-axle joints on reman'd axles. But mine wasn't an instant thing, it got worse slowly. So it could possibly be the axle came out a little of the tranny, possibly the c-clip broke or was too weak?

yup turned out to be the inboard axle joint on the passenger side. It came out like a bitch cause the circlip was over expanded (it must have been wobbling around in there), and the joint was binding.
