Are you sure you ran the extra wires for vtec and the oil pressure switch? Alot of fools just plug a p28 into any old obd1 harness and think all the stuffs there and voila...instant vtec And the tranny shouldn't really make much of a difference at all. I run a dx tranny on my z6 with no problems, and it definately doesn't feel "slower" because of it.

if I didn't wire up the oil pressure switch then wouldn't the check engine light come on though....

y7's have no oil jet. what intake manifold are u using? if u are still using the y7 mani, thats why your friend is handing u your ***!

I'm using a 93 DX intake manifold similar to a EX but the runners look smaller though is that why when the VTEC kick it feels like its lagging (feels likes its gonna stall)....
