my first harness dident come with any directions. i dident know how to do this until i converted my boys civic to odb 1. after i seen how easy everything was with his car i brought a brand new harness ($50) and wired mine up correctly. on both harnesses to check cel's you connected the yellow and brown (or any other ground) together and the cel will start blinking. i ran mine to a toggle switch inside my glove box for easy access.
