Default Mini me swap questions

I just bought a whole d16z6 motor. I am planning to use the head to have the v tec (aka mini me swap)

Heres a couple questions

-should i use the intake mani? My hatch already has mpfi?
-can i just run the d16z6 ecu to run the vtec?

so will i be good if i put this on my a6 block?

vtec ecu
z6 intake mani. along with fuel rail injectors, etc.
z6 block
z6 distirbuter

Or will this cause my motor not to run unless i do some crazy wireing for the distributer and ecu?
IS there some conversion harness i need?
