hey when i do a mini me swap. D16a6 block with a V-tec head .. how do i hook up the V-tec wire to activate it and what will i all need

 

Many ways
1. Spend 900 dollars on a Zdyne ecu, with a single wire vtec
2. Buy a MSD RPM activated switch and pills for around 50$
3. Buy a 3 dollar switch from autozone, and ghetto rig it! :P

 

convert your car to obd 1

 

get a PS9 ECU and use the 1 wire VTEC switch.
Get the $5 relay and it works fine
VAFC will do it too
OBD 1 changeover sucks ***

either way it is adviseable to run a chipped ECU when doing this so you get hte fuel curve + ign right when you hit VTEC.

 

If you must do it the ghetto way then I think I might be able to pull the schimatics to do it ghetto cheap for you..
