Default low compression pistons for turbo

I have a friend who custom turbo'd his old-skool BMW. He rebuilt the engine (2.5 litre inline 6) and put in some low-compression pistons. I think he said they are sort of convex-shaped, the opposite of dome pistons, so that his compression with the 10psi of boost would be less prone to detonation. Does anyone here do that to their Hondas, or are our engines built better for the higher temps? No doubt it would b nicer to the engine, but it means less power while you are waiting for the turbo to spool up.

The problem with honda pistons is that they are cast, and if you run into any type of detonation they will break fairly easy. Lots of people put aftermarket forged pistons in honda/acuras, ranging from 8.5 to 9.5c/r They are all flat top pistons.
