D16Z6 Low Compression Pistons QUESTION
Hey...
I just have a question about low compression pistons for
my '95 Civic Si with a D16Z6. I'll be replacing my pistons next week, and I was wondering if it would be a good thing to do to replace my stock ones with low-compression ones, or to just buy a set of new STOCK ones (I'll be running 8psi with a T3). How would the low-compression ones help my setup (and would they?). Also, what else
do I need to buy with the low compression pistons? (connecting rods? etc?)
Thanks in advance,
Peter

for 8 psi keep them, but i'm going to tell you...You will be wanting more boost afterwards ... so new forged pistons are a good thing to have with forged connecting rod's. I wouldn't lower the compression to much though.
If you ain't got the cash for connecting rod's and pistons just go stock it will hold 8 psi. But if you got ---- loud of money do the swap and you'll be happier on the long run when you decide do boost higher
