Default IACV help - need it quick!!

So my idle has hated me for a long time, but for a while it was actaully settled down. Now it's pissed again. The second I turn on the car it jumps to 4k rpms. then in a sec it goes back down to 1 for a bit.. then back up to 4. etc..

The last time this happened I unplugged the iacv cable when the car was on, then plugged it back in with the car still on and it fixed itself. this time that doesn't work. in 20 mins i have to drive to the dentist and I really don't want to drive it broken. Any ideas would help.

Thanks

take it off and clean the screen out, block it off, or buy a new one
