Default 3 wire IACV to 2 wire IACV?

well i just got my conversion harness today and going to put it on but i saw that some people were having some problems with the IACV throwing a cel. what i am wondering is do i have to convert from 3 wire to a 2 wire? because on the link below

---> http://www.turbod16.com/viewtopic.php?t=3572
it saids "All 96-01 B-series & 96-00 M/T SOHC VTEC (EX+HX) engines use a 2-wire IACV"
..i have a d16y8..which is a 2000 M/T sohc vtec...does this mean i already have a 2-wire IACV for my obd2b to obd1 conversion harness to work properly?
