Default My car is screwed for a while!! Intake manifold, IACV/EACV help badly!

Ok, well today i decided to take my EACV out to clean it, becasue ive been having idling problems like a lot of others!

So i was taking the two bolts off from the EACV to the inake manifold, and one of the bolts broke off into the intake manifold!! So now i cant put the EACV back on!!!

This sucks, is there anywyas that i can bypass the EACV, i dont care if it doenst crank forever, i just need wheels to get to work and back! only car i have.

Has this ever happend to anyone?? i guess im going to have to take the intake mani off and try and get it out, then have them rethreaded?

Also can i just put the two coolant line together, and like bypass the EACV?? I dont knwo what would be the best, i mean im going to do a head swap soon, i dont want to have to take the intake gasket and replace it for no reason!!

Please help, thanks!

Man that sucks, Im sorry. I just read your post, IM GONNA GO TRY IT RIGHT NOW! Then you go out and ------ break your bolt, son of a bitch. I would say that you can connect the lines together, cant see why it would be a problem, its just not flowing through the IACV first. Second, I had mine unplugged for a while and it ran decent but idled like crap.

Wow what a bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, i had to take the whole manifold off, run to town and get a gasket!! fuel, coolant leaking everywhere!

So i took the intake off, ran to my uncle's and he put a drilled a small hole, and hamered a chisel in it!! and it turned right out!!

You want to know why it happened?? Because whoever i bought it from put the wrong screws in the wrong hole! One is longer than the other!

Everything is back together and running, but its idling like ----! it started to rain, so ill mess with it tomarrow!!

I set the throttle cable right, and blead the coolant, put more in, blead it again.

I think its my Throttle body, becasue its reving up to 2-3 k when i let off the clutch and go to neutral. its like sticking, then i can push the rotor on the body back and it will go down!!?? im pretty sure that this is it, because i had a HF throttle body on it, and it didnt start having problems until i put the integras on! The first gen integ is the first as the CRX Si which is what the manifold is.

sorry for writing so much, thanks again!! anymore help is appreciated!

Im 75% sure its the throttle body! Because i can put my foot under it and it will drop to to 1K. And idle fine!! Yes even tho all i went through, cleaning the EACV it stopped idling erratically, and doesnt surge!

The throttle body was off of a first gen integra, with oil all over it seemed pretty old, i really didnt get anyother problems when i had my HF throttle body on it!

Clean up the throttle body a little. My z6 did the same thing when i first swapped it in, but the motor had been sittin in the junkyard for a while. I just cleaned the ---- outta mine and sprayed the living ---- outta it with PB blaster, then worked it back and forth until it didn't seem to stick anymore. Try that.

Ok you guys thanks for everything! I fixed it, apparently the cable was binding or something and causing it to stay open, or stick. Eventually ill have to get a new cable but its idlling perfect!!! NO SURGE!! So the EACV cleansing did the job!! The idle doesnt stumble around anymore either!

thanks im so glad it stopped!

It was "jumping around 100 or 200 rpms, and sometimes it would surge from 1k to 2-3 k".

So im guessing cleaning the EACV helped it all because it hasnt done it since!!
