Re: i need help my car wont stay running
step 1
did you check for spark- stick a screw driver in the number one spark plug wire and check for spark by putting the screwdriver close to a ground and cranking the engine if you see spark being emitted its not any of your ignition problem
step 2
did you check for fuel -loosen your banjo bolt on your fuel rail and turn the key to on and see if any fuel squirts out if so it is not a fuel problem
step 3
did you check for compression- use a compression gauge and check if all 4 cylinder are about the same compression on all four cylinders if one of the cylinder is really bad on compression use a cap of oil and drop it into that cylinder if compression reads good it is probably a bad piston ring and if it still reads bad it can be a mechanical problem like your valves if it is good try next step
step 4
if its got no fuel or either spark- check the main relay most common on oldschool hondas/acura go bad cause of the tacky soldering honda did u can either re solder the original solder and see if that works or replace it with a new one.
if its not that check your timing make sure the no.1 piston is at TOP DEAD CENTER and your cam sprocket is at up on the valve cover (the up should align with your rockers)
step 5( last step)
throw the piece of shiet away or take it to a mechanic its 2007. I bet you that car is older than You and me
