I swear i have car gremlins Last night i was working on my turbo project car and my 1st gen dsm BOV was working perfectly, but this morning i noticed that it wont stay closed. It will initially close then rise back open when i am pushing the throttle. Is this a vaccum leak or did my BOV all of a sudden break on its own over night? Any help would be great!

 

normal function of a bov is usually open at idle

if you rev it a little, it should close, then re-open when the rpm's come back down.

open at idle is perfectly normal though.

 

I know how a BOV works, but under steady exceleration it wont stay closed. Since it wont stayed closed i dont get any boost. this probelm litterally happend over night...so i am lost for reasons why.

 

its prob a coupler not your bov, you sound dumb. check over your setup
