first off before i forget, here is my setup: 88 CRX HF, B18A1, Zdyne SECU Gold, turbo'ed...think thats all..
the other day my car threw a CEL #1, no problem just reset it.... throws it again later that day, k so the O2 is accually bad. swap it for another (used) that has worked before...threw a code... ---- it i will just go buy NEW one [throws #1 again on the way there]. come home and install it and it DOES IT AGIAN!!! well i have been having another issue with my tach not working so i swapped out my engine harness with another one (both 88 HF harness both known to work and have been used in this car, origanal is back in) TACH WORKS! throws O2 code still! [just proving its not wiring like the tach]

after every time it throws a code i reset the ECU by pulling the hazard fuse.

what the hell is up? i try 3 differenet O2's, wiring looks fine and didnt have a problem till i started spinning the clutch?
so any ideas? im sure its something stupid im over looking (usually is). need to get this solved before i hit the dyno.... thanks!

only tim i had this problem was from my car running lean b/c i had the wrong injectors(im shure u have the right injectors tho)the o2 sensor was white. something else i think can make u have this problem is a bad fpr

umm, if i have a O2 CEL it will be running really rich at ALL conditions, cuz the ECU has no ------ clue what is going on...

Come on schucks boy, you know how open/closed loop works :P

Reguardless if you have an o2 code or not, I beleive that map I sent you forces the ecm to open loop after 2.8v map sensor or 15% throttle. So its mainly running off the map rather than your o2 sensor. And this will not affect anything on the dyno, especially since we are using Wideband!

yeah, i didn't have an o2 sensor even hooked up in my teg before and it ran fine, you just have to stare at the orange light :P

Everyone that says you dont need an O2 sensor dosnt know what they are talking about. They are correct that the ECU goes int a closed loop at WOT and doset read the O2 sensor. But unless you hve a drag only car you need the O2 for partial throttle.

From the factory, the O2 sensor is shielded, which means it has a separtaly grounded foil shield around the wire. This prevents the wore from acting like an antenea and picking up EMF from things like your ignition system. If you installed your O2 wire yourself, think about going to an elecronics store and picking up some shilded wire and then grounding the shilding to the body. Hope this helps
