Re:hydrolock??

well.... bad news, i went to get my car after work, opened the hood and noticed a "tiny" chunk (about the size of two of my fists) in the block in front of the #4 cylinder, do you guys think this is a problem or should it still start ::)

Re:hydrolock??

Mine happened with a CAI. It will be a problem. The car might start, but will probably run like crap, or not at all. I have seen people fixing blocks with jb weld. I've never done it myself. Maybe someone else here can help you further. After it happened to me I went and got the AEM by-pass valve, and it really works, I went through a bunch of puddles everyday, and never happened again.

Re:hydrolock??

i was being sarcastic, of course it's not going to start, witht a hole in the block, that's just the beginning of it it, if theres a hole in the block more than likely a lot of other ---- broke too. i hope your not being serious about fixing it with jb weld? anyways, thanks for the optimism ;D

Re:hydrolock??

If that's the only thing broken, I would try it, but of course there will be a lot more stuff messed up inside. I would not use jb weld to fix a block, but some people I know have tried and the car will run for a few more days then break down again. I have some cheap friends, that's why I suggested it. The worst guy had a 90 accord, I don't know how, he went thru 3 engines, 2 transmissions in about 8 months. 2 of the engines had big holes on the block after he was finished with them, that's N/A, just the regular I/H/E. He did try the JB weld thing.

Re:hydrolock??

i dont see how you ----'d you engine hydrolocking it. i've done it to my crx multipal times. you have to crank it till it spits all the water out, then it'll fire. then you rev the bitch until all the extra gas gets burnt.

Re:hydrolock??

i don't know how either, but i wish i had you guys' luck. now i probably have to sell my turbo kit just to get a new engine the mother fucker had 199,989k miles on it and i was getting all stoked cause i've never had a car go over 200k miles, :'( so ------ close

Re:hydrolock??

i was reading up on it and it said the water gets in your cylinders and can raise your compression to like 1000 psi., i think i had a bad case of the hydrolock ;D
