How to make the a6 rev!

Re:How to make the a6 rev!
cool...now then back to the issue. you'll need aftermarket valvetrain if you want to raise anything more than and extra 1000k from stock, but if you are talking about the 7.5 mark. go rite ahead. theres nothing to stop you EXCEPT the fuel cut. theres only 1 way to add fuel after that. YUP...computer programs. any chip burning to stand alone systems will do.

Stock retainers/springs are good to 8000 rpm. I spin my sohc zc to 75oo all the time. Unles you do motor work though port work, cam,tb,etc. you will fall off powerwise well before rev so it's only needed if you plan on building up the motor.

Re:How to make the a6 rev!
got a crazy cam in my a6 :-D 272 degrees.. biggest regrind i could get before doing mods to the rocker or doing mods to the cam (aka welding or NEW cam) the stock lobe is supposed to be 236.. so thats a huge difference i head 272 is bigger then most usdm vtec lobes.... so it will be fun uptop...

272 !! At what lift?
Remember that almost all cams are measured differently, so just because it's a 272 doesn't mean it's 36 degrees bigger than stock, it's probably just measured at a lower lift point.
