how about muriatic acid? i use it to clean my saltwater fish supplies, diluted of course, but it rips apart calcium deposits. I know itll eat through paint also. so it may fuckup a rubbermaid bin.

but i know itll eat anything you want off a block. you can buy it in gallon jugs at Lowes for pretty cheap.

I have a tub filled with many sad, sad chemicals. Purple power, simple green, some acetone and random other chemicals. Works pretty well

i like using the dollar store oven cleaners. they are cheap and work pretty well. but i also have a pressure washer at home, so im set. yeah muriatic acid works good on some saltwater stuff, but not too much on my engine. also the bucket of random chemicals works eally good too.

Why not just use good ol DAWN soap. Apply it straight to the block. Let it sit over night. Scrub it again let it sit. Wash off with water and a scrub brush. Works great and then you can paint the block and have no worries of the saint peeling. We use Dawn at to wash down everything right before we paint. Including cars with two stage Dupont.

jago, bring it to my house and I'll break out the 3000psi pressure washer. No soap, no nothing. If you want, I'll put the red tip on and notch your block too.
