Heres what happened. He had one of his friends help him rebuild the stock motor. No skills.... No measuring...no guages..nothing. New bearings, new seals, etc. Slap everything together....then starts the car. YAY!! it starts and drives. Sounds good. Compression is good too! Drive it slow for a few days....everything is ok. Take it out one night....pounds on the throttle a few times....car makes funny noises. Stops to check the engine...but she dies. End of story. Figures...the car is a waste of money. Sells it to recoop some money. Offer under 1k for sure. The car isn't worth much....especially in Cal.
