LS w/ b16 head makes more tq b/c more disp.
i think b18c block w/ b16 head is higher comp = more hp..

maybe? lol who the hell knows. i guess it all depends on so many factors like motor condition and tuning

i say get the b18c block because the LS block isn't made to be revved high, the b18c is...u could make the ls rev high but it would cost more money and just more work.

B16A and the C5(ITR) head are the same, flows the same too, The only differences are the valve springs/retainers/CAMS

ITR manifold is better than the B16A.

....
if you get the C1(GSR) head, u will need the Intake manifold too, the B16 IM will not bolt up.
....
Putting the GSR head on the B16A block will give more CR and Power, but not enuff to beat a GSR motor
....
putting the B16A head on the GSR block, will not be as fast as a regular GSR, but faster than a B16A
....
having a C1 head and getting a block for cheap, is worth it.
GSR's are not that cheap,
....

A stock PR3 head is not the same as a B18c5 type R head, yes they are the same casting, but honda engineers did alot of work to that head other than valve train componets, Their is minor porting in the head that is done at the factory.

I personally like The B18c head, why? closed combustion chamber increases C/R. Bigger intake ports, and when your going FI, The B16a head FLOWS better on a NA scale compared to a GSR. Now that most of us here are FI, that gets thrown out the window.

But if your like me.. I go with whatever you have, or whatever you can get for cheap

have you ever noticed that a b18c intake mani looks like it's upside down? the butterflies are in the mani and open up past a certain rpm allowing the air to travel through a shorter set of runners
