Getting ready to go mini-me(big woop)
Currently driving a 88 CRX HF with a d16a6 in it and am planning to put a d16y8 head on it. Going to convert to obd-1 for a p28 (flat rate conversion harness) before the head goes on (hopefully) and was wondering on a couple of things. What physical/wiring differences are there between a obd-1 and a obd-0 dizzy besides the plugs. Could i just rewire the obd-0 dizzy or are there hardware difference between the 2? Also will a obd-1 dizzy fit on the y8 head correctly or will there need to be some modification involved?
Also i noticed on the rywire conversion harness there is a sub harness that has a bunch of wiring, anyone know what that is for? I know there is extra wires for the o2 sensor vtec solenoid and vtec oil press (cake) but what are the rest for?

i would use the turboedit 1 wire code but i live in houston,tx where we havnt seen a day below 90 in months
so using the ac clutch would not be an option

The OBD1 distributors have certain parts that the OBD0 distributors do not. So, an OBD0 distributor can not be used in place of an OBD1 distributor. However, an OBD2 distributor can be swapped in place of an OBD1 distributor. Also, I've been running the Turboedit code in my Mini-me setup via 1 wire Vtec and I am not using an AC clutch to activate it. I've been running my chipped PS9, Turbo edit will use the ecu's automatic lockup function to control Vtec.
Thanks for the info, i might just stick with obd0 for now considering how cheap/lazy i am. Now to find a ps9 ecu might take some effort -_-. Ps9 contains the internal rom right? Anyone have had any success converting a PM6 for auto?
