getting my timing right...

just make sure you know how many degree's its off and remember to keep then in mind with tuning.. 18 degrees on 10lbs .. so its at 20 then if its 2 degrees off

well im going to tear the timming belt and gears off and check to see how far off it really is.. Because i remember now that when i put the crank shaft pully on the tdc mark was off of compared to the tdc mark on the oil pump... Its been awhile since i did it so im gonna just take another look at it i guess.

Which timing gear are you using? That makes a difference if the y8/z6 gears are different. (i know close to nothing about d series :1 )

I never line it up with the marks, i always pull #1 plug and fire a long shaft in there(3/8 extension works great if you have a long enuf one), rotate the crank manually until you are TDC, this way you are always 100% sure where you are at no matter what the marks say.
