Default Short Shifter

So I installed my sixteen dollar short shifter I was wondering if its okay to reverse the shifter so it points towards the front. In doing this it wont cramp my arm. Im around 6'1 I like to sit close to my wheel, no gangsta lean, although this works wonders for my pedal work it kinda cramps my arm. In reversing the shifter it makes less strain when I go from 1st to 2nd and 3rd to 4th. Let me know if there is any problems with what im doing. Doesnt seem it would make a difference, only preference.

I dont think there would be any problem, where is the bend located on the shifter lever? above or below the fulcrum

No, it doesn't matter.

The throw is going to be the same either way.

Honestly your sixteen dollars would have been better spent on some window weld and beer, filling up the shifter bushings works wonders.

buying urethane shifter bushings is cheaper or as cheap as buying a tube of window weld

Im buying new bushings after christmas. You can do what ever the ---- you want. $16 is nothing to me and a total of $21 dollars for a short shifter and bushings is a good deal anyway you look at it. People buy short shifters for $50+.
