Air gun zipped mine off easy

 

im doing a build right now and im wondering if anybody actually uses new flywheel bolts? I've heard they are not suppose to be reused. Ive reused mine about 3 times now with now problem but has anyone had these break or come loose??

 

Never had any problems. I've alway's re-used them. If your concerned about it, put a small dab of red Loctite on each one and install the bolts tight.

 

To lock the flywhell use a bent valve....very easy to make tool and it works perfectly

 

I just use the screwdriver through the hole. That always seems to work.

 

i always put a hardened air socket inbetween the crank and the side of the block, then use a breaker bar on the flywheel bolts

 

Works for me as well.

 

I like to put a flathead screwdriver in one of the flywheel grooves, and then lean it up against one of the dowel pins. Works like a charm for people that don't have access to impact tools at home.
