Flywheel Removal

Hi,

Has anyone got any tips for loosening the flywheel bolts in the middle of the flywheel to remove it? Its a pain in the ass, justs keeps spinning, tryed holding it with a screwdriver but it just seems to tight!

Thanks
Matt

Get an impact gun and it will zip them off no problem. Or, they make "flywheel tools" that basically hold the flywheel still for you if your using a wrench or rachet

get someone to hold the crank bolt on the other end of the engine with a ratchet.

sit on the engine and put weight on the flywheel side to the teeth are wedged on the ground
then remove it

you could always use a block of wood to wedge on the teeth and the ground. *shrug*

or you could just put one of the pressure plate and one of the bolts that hold the motor and tranny together in and use a wrench to hold it still
