the problem with most people ------- there at home port jobs is they take the polish part to seriously first they overbore the cylinder then they make the port a mirror finish ------- the whole flow pattern up and cause conflict with the transition from the mani to the head.. thus resulting in poor flow..

with timing, you always line up the holes in the cams...especially if you are using different gears....ALWAYS! throw your car into TDC, line up the dowel holes, install the belt, and you are set

well when i used the hole method my arrows wernt pointing perfectly up....and when i use the arrow method my holes arnt lined up so i went with the arrows instead of useing the holes ....now my car idles fine but it only starts getting all gay and loud and slow when i start to get on it ...so is this still my timing...also does the a certain cam gear go with a certain cam because i took my cam gears off because i was goin to swap differnt cams i had but changed my mind and went back with stock..so i might have switch gears with the intak and exhaust does that make a differnce or are they the same
