this question makes you look noobier than the newest noob

I asked because this section has to do with:

"Hybrid/Tech
B16/B18/ZC/D16/H22/Mini-Me Ask your Honda Engine Questions here. "

It seems the section this question would have really belonged in is the general section based on the section descriptions. This has nothing even remotely to do with engines.

when I started this thread I had no idea what the meaning of color temperature, I wanted bright white bluish lights. so when I ordered I ask for the 8000k ones, if I knew that it was rice blue I would have gotten something between that and stock.

I hear you, here is what I have learned: The higher you go in color temperature the less actual light output and hense the more blue/purple the light. 4300-6000k is what most oem lights are. The reason why some projectors look blue/purple from a distance is because of the difference in color spectrum that you see due to the different vantage point.(the bumps in the road and angle you see them cause the lights to appear to flicker or change from purple to white.)

I think 5000k would give a good white light. I can post a pic of the lights on the is300-they are 4300k. Hope that helps.

I just installed and tested them, and they looked great, no annoying glare as most people said it would create, even though I got the 8000k bulbs they are not rice, blue they are super white, looked like the bmw/audi lights.
I like the look, except the whining comming from the balasts.

how safe is it to install the balasts outside of the engine bay?
I installed mines under the corner lights inside the bumper, so the modification look natural, hopefully they are water resistant.

Re: ebay hid kits

did you just install them in the stock lights or aftermarket ones? i'm pretty sure you should be good with the ballasts there.
