Yeah, it's kind of hard to put the wrist pins and clips and ---- in when you put them up through the bottom.... since the cylinder walls are there. Dumb nog you put the pistons on the rods and then drop them down from the top onto the crank.

I have been building stock civic motors since 1994.
This is the first time i ever ran into a problem
with a rod not fitting down in the bore.
I think its because of the bigger rod bolts.
They are 7/16 rod bolts not 3/8.They are only off
by a couple of hairs on each side.I'll just get it bored out more
also shave the rod a little.I have a scale to balance the weight
on each rod so it's no big deal.
Anybody want 75mm vitaras 50 shipped new.

jsut because they are the same big end as z6 rods doesnt mean they are d series rods. LS and d16 share the same rod journal. measure the wristpin hole. 19mm is d series, 21mm is b series. i would guess they are LS rods
