DX axles on Si Transmission
I just got an Si tranny for my 88 hatch.
I have a JDM 95 SOHC Vtec ZC, basically a D16z6 stamped ZC, and have been using the stock 5 speed DX tranny. I got a 90 Si tranny, clutch and flywheel, so all those parts are covered, but the guy I bought it from told me I had to change the axles, probably a hybrid axle that would fit the Si tranny and my DX wheel hubs, Is this true or will stock Dx work? Also I have some brand new axles from a 95 ex coupe. Will these work?
Thanks

yup shadow rex is correct, ideally you want a dx tranny especially for freeway driving... the best tranny of all is the zc because it has the shortest gears and a longer final drive... ideal for the zippiest honda tranny youd want zc gears and si final drive.. for daily driving id just go with the dx because in a 1/4 mile race most likely u wony be hitting 5th gear anyways
