seriously man what are you going to do about that block? that is not going to work so hot. .008 is about the most i've seen for an automotive application.
On this continental 0-200 I put together at school I had about .018 piston to wall clearance, but were talking about a 6:1 C/R 100hp 200 cubic inch engine, nothing high performance about that.

i'm going to be pulling it apart this weekend and finding actual specs, all i know is when it was assembled the piston to cylinder clearance looked pretty damn close, i dont know if thats from all the shiny parts or what, but that thing sounded like a diesel running and didnt quiet after warming up. i didnt like it so i pulled it back out.
