i was looking around on other forums and found that i have to modify my dpfi wiring harness to convert to mpfi for the zc...my question is, couldnt i just get a si harness and ecu then call it a day or what or could i just get an si ecu and use the zc harness?

 

you'd have to get a si engine and underdash harness

 

so it would just be easier to do the mpfi conversion then!

 

if it started out as a dx it would be easier to do the mpfi swap rather than locating an unmolested dash and engine harness. once you do the mpfi swap bolt the zc in and mod the distributor wiring and your good to go.
