Hey guys i was wondering if you knew the order the rocker arms are installed on the dohc zc and what the significance of the numbering is 1.. 2..3..4...3* etc

 

Are there numbers on the rocker arms
I though they were all the same.

1-2-3-4-5-6 or however many caps there is.. 1 will start on the front side of the engine (crank pulley side)
ZC's have these little eyelet holes to align the cams with the caps (caps closest to the cam gears) just like LS's

 

yea thats the cam caps... but as far as the rocker arms are they all the same? the 12 rocker arms.. does it matter where each goes? Did a zc swap for my friend last night... like 5th swap or so expected everything to go well... engine just kept turning, would turn on and rev for a few secs at like 100rpm or 200, real low, i think the dizzy is bad, but any more advice would help

Yeah, I noticed those too. Im doing a ZC swap right now and those rockers have little numbers on both the intake and exhaust sides. I wasnt sure if it did (common sense says it doesent, and its not in te manual) but I labled the order anyway and wrote it down. If you want I can get the order mine were in. just pm me

 

the lash adjusters? pretty sure they are all the same.. If they are taken out there is no specific order they need to go back in, I think intake/exhaust are the same too. However if you dont mark them you will need to adjust the valves all over.

 

i did not mark them but took them out in specific order... i left it up to my idiot friend to keep them in that order but he botched that, i did readjust the valves, but did the wrong clearances anyways, so im going to redo that
