adjusting rocker arms please help

Default adjusting rocker arms please help

as the topic says ;how do i do it;i tried and the car dont idle right

I dont c ho wit would affect idle unless u tighten the ---- out of them?Did u use a feeler gauge and what motor is this?>

Depeding on the structual integrity of the rocker shafts and the codec on the block that being "B" or "D" I can assimilate that in theory you have tightened the nuts behond there threshold It 4 oclock in the morning....gimme a break

i tighten them till i felt the rocker had no play ;then i backed it down half a turn;should i have replaced the intake gasket ;it seemed fine ;but im replacing it any way;when you have a head shaved ;should you advance the timing or retard

The car idles? What do you mean by doesnt idle right?Valve adjustment wont really affect idle much.

i blew a head gasket ;so i took the head to the machine shop ;put it all together and it doesnt idle;it will start just not idle

Re-adjust your valves the right way and check your timing belt. It sounds like it's off a tooth or 5.

what is the right way; cause i have a Chilton and a Haynes ; neither one goes into detail on how to adjust the rockers
