Lucky bastard, dohc is easy to replace and cheeper, i got a bad sensor in my SOHC and its inside the dizzy, i gotta clean it up and see if its touching or not, and if that dont work then I gotta blow $200 on a new distributor.

Re:DOHC ZC crank angle sensor
$200 for a new distributor? I bought a near new one for $65 shipped. Egay has some cheap distributors. I got mine from a member here. I guess the ZC distributors are more expensive, but ---- that cam angle sensor. I'll just use an A6.

The A6 doesn't perfectly fit the head though. You have to get creative.

Re:DOHC ZC crank angle sensor
Im using the engine harness from my A6 so, I wouldnt have to worry about changing any wires if I decide to use the A6 dizzy . How creative do I have to get. Can you post some pics of what you had to do. Ive had this damn code for over a year and no one around here can figure it out. Thanks.

Re:DOHC ZC crank angle sensor
To make the a6 distributor fit on the zc you need to wire back in the cylinder sensor into the main round plug. (the 2 wires blue/green blue/yellow). For mounting I just used 1 out of the 3 holes, I made a little bracket with some scrap metal. Sorry I dont have any pics, but if you have a sohc distributor around you can put it on and see what I'm talking about. It's not to difficult to fab something up.
Also, like I mentioned above, I think I got 3-4 of these cylinder sensors in my garage for the zc. 20 shipped
