My Odometer quit for about a month, so the real mileage is not registered. I live near Chattanooga TN and work in Atlanta GA. I drive over 200 miles a day. Other than the standard pm and tires/brakes, the only problems I have ever had is the ignition switch, which went out in Carterville GA, and I was towed twice that night. My mechanic said he had only known one Honda to have that problem and still run. Mine was the second, that he knew of (of course, there maybe more out there). My mechanic is in Dalton GA. and he works only on foreign made cars. The other problem I had was my starter also went bad and had to be replaced. It's actually turned into a a game now to see just how far my car will go. My Honda has truly served me well. It was worth every penny I paid for it and more.

The original engine still runs great, the original 5 speed transmission had a "massive internal parts" failure at 718,000 miles but was still full of fluid when removed. The car now has a low miles, used Honda 5 speed in it. The engine and transmission both survived the accident as the car was not in gear when it was hit. I am still commuting 160 miles to work and back each day.
Some of the road trips (from PA) over the past year have been to Florida, North Carolina and Illinois. It is sadly ironic that after so many trips over many years across the country, including California several times, that the totaling accident happened 4 miles from home. The car had been through 49 states - all except Hawaii.
I had hoped to make the 1 million mile mark in another 3.5 years. The picture enclosed is from June 2002 when the car had "only" 763,380 miles on it.

LOL!! Man someone got owned. My grandmother knows that RX-7s are all about the wankel.. a shitty engine but kinda neat.. at UTI in illinoise they had a rotary cut in half and there were so many bearings and things that could go wrong and screw up.. still pretty neat though.. GOTTA LOVE THE ROTARY!!

Re:damn rx7 problems
I have had 3 rx7s and 5 hondas and for a street racer the rx7 wins handsdown...with exhaust, a dremel tool, and a steady hand 270-300 hp is easy from a turbo2 reliably and abou 220hp from a na..and rx7 handling is ALLOT better than hondas....hondas on the other hand have a allot more aftermarket support...but it will be a LONG time before honda comes out with a 1.3L that will pull over 500hp on pump gas like my rx7 did
