I realize their for b-series, why can just the cable conversion work on the d-series tranny, Im not saying mods wont need to be made. But its alot easier then converting the whole car over to a hydro system.

go look at the rear mount........in order to use the hydro rear mount the tranny gets shifted forward, which messes up the axle angle by shifting one side of the engine/tranny forward.

id imagine that it would be a lot simpler to just use an L3 Si tranny out of a 91 civic Si.. i called honda directly and they told me that the D series engines all bolt up to the D series trannys.. they said as long as it says L3 on it, then it should work.. the mounts should change over and everything from the stock engine. SHOULD drop right in.. i havent done it, but i plan to. ... as far as i was told its pretty hard to tell if its a real Si tranny though until you drive it.. not sure about the serial codes.. i know someone who has one though an he'd sell it for 150, maybe 100 if you had cash. i know where the car came from and its a pretty new tranny.. probly under 70-80k.. not a garontee though, and i kinda want the tranny myself for my 91 CRX Si.. so ya better hurry. im up in WA state though.. dont know how many miles are on your stock tranny, or if its an Si, sorry if i missed something there. jus figured id let ya know that i know someone with a fairly good tranny, if your interested i post back.
