D16a6 has an additional timing mark that is lined up with a mark on the inner timing cover, if you line it up as stated above you will be off...believe me I'll try and take a picture or find one somewhere to show you...and not the IAT won't keep it from starting just plug it in to get rid of the code and reset the ecu

maybe the JDM SOHC ZC and the USDM d16a6 are timed differently?? o well.. attached is the blurry but hopefully helpful pic..
if you look closely, there's a mark opposite the UP label that you're supposed to align with something on the t-belt cover... notice the two lines are not alinged w/ the head anymore either!
learn something new every day i guess.

I would LOVE if you could take a pic of it for me
Good news though
IT STARTED!!
All it ended up being was a poor connection on the dist little plug, I took it out and it was filled with grime and ----, sprayed it up with carb cleaner and it FIRED FIRST CRANK!!
I have to give it gave to keep it going and it sounds like a bag when its running but it runs Im happy
I'll upload a video in a sec of it, gonna make a new thread though

As promised, I marked the timing lines in red and circled the mark on the timing cover sorry for a crappy pic, also good to hear you got it started!
