this a stock set up or you do anything to it or ecu before this happened? any other symptoms or sounds (surging, bucking, uneven idle, or misfiring)? double check your timing and plug wires themselves?

Retarded timing at the distributor perhaps? (or the user ) That's usually a sign of it, or cam's off a tooth.
