So i am lookin at my pistons and rods and i have a couple of questions?

The rods all have numbers on them 1,2,3,4 but the number 1,2 rods have a 2 on the back and the 3,4 rods have a 3 on the back. what is that?

the rods 1,2,3,4 is that the order they go in the engine,does it matter. and if it does which way. 1,2,34, from the tranny. or4,3,2,1 from the tranny?

Last, the number one piston rings are shot, they are pushed into th piston. I just need that one set of rings for that one piston. how do i go about that? thanks alot

So if you open your hood, and your looking at your engine, they go like this


4 3 2 1

The numbers on the rod caps are the size of the bearing that honda uses. Each bearing is different. (no such thing as 1 size fits all for a honda)

Replace 1 set of rings? I think you can buy 1 set of rings, but you might as well just buy a set of 4, and replace them all. Throw a quick hone in the cylinders so you will be certain they seal up ok.
