they are...the jdm zc and the usdm d16a1. but be wared...there is 2 different types of d16a1. one has dome pistons and one has a flat almost concaved top. but the rods of teh zc and d16a1(domed) are stronger than the stock D series.
really?
though all D-series rod's were the same.
The flat top D-series pistons are from the brown top's with vacume ignition advance...I know i have both 1st gen and 2nd gen CRX ....1st gen with 1st gen brown top ZC with vac advance and the black top ZC in my 1nd gen.
And the brown top ZC rod's says PG6 on them
I think the pistons do to

pistons from the d16a1 dome will have a p27 stamp.....i know cause i went to honda to buy zc pistons for my z6. they said there is none....so i said what about a d16a1...they said oh...p27 piston....170 brand new..same bore
Hmm, when I went to the dealer and got my order of 89 Integra Pistons they said PM7 on the tops of them.
The ZC/D16a1 and D16a6/z6/y8 rods all are the same thickness and measurement.
The 1g ZC (olive top) & 86-87 D16a1 have the biggest D-series rods.
