d15b...worth it?

Default d15b...worth it?

i've got a 97 dx but i can get a d15b pretty cheap. what trouble would i have to go to to put it in (wiring etc.) and would it be worth it. i was just gonna get an obd1 ecu (for uberdata when i finally boost) but i figured vtec is better than non...

you have a 1.6L block already vs the 1.5L d15b. just do a vtec head swap and boost it.

As whiterice said, definatly keep the 1.6 in there, just get a vtec head on. a Mini-me swap is pretty easy to do. You maybe better off just finding a regular d16z6 or y8 head.

Only thing is price (im in school and mucho poor). My tranny is pretty well screwin the pooch, and i'm just tryin to figure if cost+east of install on the swap would be better than doin the mini-me+new transmission.
