im not overly concerned with what the motor *could* make.. but i dont see any reason why it wouldnt make upwards of or over 160whp with an intake manifold and a nice header.. but im not really concerned with what it puts out

sure about that? even some of the bullfrog cams specify "upgraded valve springs" and theyre not what id call insane

Actually 135 at the wheels is pretty healty for a street D16, and it wouldent' be happening anywhere close to 8K. If your building a track only car you can get some insane numbers, but it get's overly expensive.

Claims the figures are uncorrected to the wheels, but I'm suspicious when the chart says "Correction Method: SAE" right on it.

thanks for that link dweezil.. thats a nice build... i need to look around on bisi's site to see what he offers in the way of cams etc... although id like to keep it cheap... when you start putting his name on ---- it instantly gets expensive

You can get a GT2871R for the cost of a stainless header, and probebly a nice manifold for the cost of the cam.

haha i know im not delusional.. a turbo motor would make a lot more power for the same cash input.. i just like the idea of a non vtec sohc motor makin a little power... i dont care if it cams and ----.. its not gonna be my DD
