I had my car running well except for a oil leak in between the upper and lower front cover on my ka24de-t.

I pulled the valve cover and the front cover, re-RTV'd and then put it all back on.

at the same time I did an oil change, but in the middle of the change I got distracted and the car had only a quart of oil in it. It was lucas oil stabalizer though, so it isn't as bad as leaving just a normal quart of 10w 30 in or something.

I started the car and ran it for about 30 seconds before realizing i didn't have enough oil in.

I put in the other 3 and then started the car. Now, my oil pressure sensor only registers about 5-10 lbs at idle and im too scared to rev it up. What could have happened?

ummm you might have fucked up a little bit....

maby got air in the gauge line....

it's just a sender that T's from the stock oil pressure sender, so there's no line, it's right off the block.

well you have oil pressure at idle, so 5-10 lbs should be enough to idle for a while, so maybe let it idle and see what happens. Then slowly rev it up and see if it changes.

Did you pull both front covers or just the upper one?

I'd hook a guage directly to the block to rule out a bad sending unit, but it almost sounds like you fragged your bearings....

look at he valve train its the first place that gets oil i dought it holds more then a quart, look for ware or scoring any wired sounds while it idles tick things of that nature
